Isabella Stefanelli

Isabella Stefanelli is a British artisan brand. Born in southern Italy to a father who was a tailor, she was surrounded by dressmaking from an early age. After studying fashion in Urbino, she honed her skills in Milan, where she made costumes for the theatre. After working as a tailor for Carol Christian Poell and Rick Owens, she founded her own brand in 2016. Inspired by 'her father', 'herself as a tailor', 'paintings and art', and 'childhood memories', her creations aim to make the most of original fabrics woven especially for her by weavers from all over the world. The fabrics are sewn with extreme skill to ensure a comfortable fit, and the minimalist patterns give rise to highly organic silhouettes. The post-dyed fabrics add depth to the pieces, and her love of creativity and warmth towards the materials make her creations innovative in their universality.
