Maria Turri

"Maria Turri studied philosophy at university. During her studies, she became interested in tailoring and learned the art of handmade tailoring.
She then worked for the legendary Italian boutique Delieffetti before launching her own brand in 2012. Maria Turri's creations are entirely handmade by her and her mother in her atelier in Verona, Italy. She loves to sew by hand and her pattern-making, which makes use of the characteristics of various deadstock and vintage fabrics, has won her many admirers around the world. Because she can only present her work in extremely small quantities, only three shops in the world carry her products, all of which are located in Japan. Although she is an Italian designer, she has a strong admiration for Japanese culture and traditions, and her work embraces the wearer with great love."
