Vivienne Westwood

Seditionaries is a store and brand founded at 430 King's Road, London by Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, who often changed their name for each collection they presented, such as 'Let it Rock' and 'SEX'. The name comes from their opposition to state security laws, and their work as an action by antithesis to popular nationalism radiates a strong message. Malcolm formed a band with the store's regular customers and named it the 'Sex Pistols'. He dressed his band members in Seditionaries clothings and created a new style, which journalists called punk. Vivienne and Malcolm wanted to create a spirit that would become a movement against the Establishment. In 1980, the name was changed to “Worlds end” and it continues to be the face of the King's Road and continues to be greatly supported by fans around the world.
