Neil Barrett
Neil Barrett was born in Devon, England in 1965. He graduated from Central Saint Martins with a degree in men's fashion design and went on to graduate from the Royal College of Art in 1989 with a master's degree in men's fashion design. His graduation collection caught the attention of Gucci, and that same year he became the company's senior menswear designer, a position he held for the next five years. In 1994, he moved to Prada, where he served as design director for four years before founding his own eponymous brand in 1999. His designs are characterized by a traditional base with sporty functionality, and his attention to materials and details is extraordinary, and each piece is completed after dozens of prototypes. By incorporating opposing and contradictory elements as its theme, the brand has created a unique worldview that is both luxurious and relaxed.
